Dead man walking all the way to divorce court. The on again off again marriage of Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn is officially off (again). Mr. Penn filed for a legal separation on April 23 citing irreconcilable differences.

Sean and Robin were married in 1996 and have two teenage children. They had previously filed for divorce in 2007, but reconciled in 2008.

Sean, who was previously married to Madonna, is an Oscar winner for his roles in Mystic River and most recently Milk.   His extensive film credits include such memorable films as Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Taps, Dead Man Walking and I Am Sam. 

It was also a second marriage for Robin, whose most memorable role was opposite Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump.
